Silverlining Digital operates BroadbandLog and is the data controller for the personal data described here.

Data we collect and why

• Account data (name, email, login credentials): to create and secure your account. Basis: contract.
• Company and contract data you enter (site names, providers, costs, account numbers, notes): to provide the Service. Basis: contract.
• Usage and device data (IP address, browser, device identifiers, logs): for security, fraud prevention and improving the Service. Basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages: to help you. Basis: contract and legitimate interests.

Who we share data with

• Service providers who host and run the Service on our behalf;
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for selling the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing;
• Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants;
• Authorities, where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses to protect it.

Retention

We keep data while your account is active and for up to 30 days afterwards, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. After that it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. We respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data.

We only use essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
